As with The Annihilation of Foreverland, I was very impressed by the character building/development and the skilful showing and not as much telling. I love the clever plot!

Short and concise. Did what it promises on the cover - provided me with a basic overview and understanding about the politics around Henry VIII and his marriages in an hour.

A whole lot of tell and not much show. Still, a perfectly okay albeit fluffy read. Perfect for a sick day in bed when you can't concentrate much :)

Very charming with characters I really grew to care about. A little bit much of telling and not showing, however. Still, a good read :)
A Wrinkle in Time
I don't know if having heard and read so many raving reviews of this book magnified my disappointment in this read. Great concept, but the characters and the plot fell a bit flat for me and the book felt rushed or too short to properly give the story justice.
